Your Recurring Transactions

If you use your credit card for automatic payments such as utilities, insurance, or subscriptions (e.g. Amazon, EZPass, memberships), update your payment info with your new Freedom card details—card number, expiration date, and payment address—once activated.

Transaction History and Historical Statements: After December 31, 2025, historical visa statements may no longer be accessible online. Please download any statements you may need beforehand. Afterwards, you may still contact Freedom to request copies of past statements.

Accessing New Statements: Beginning 10/30/2025, you’ll need to re-enroll in eStatements through the Freedom Card Manager App or the online browser to view your first statement in December. Starting in January, statements will be sent from noreply@estatements.freedomfcu.org. To view them, be sure to enroll in Freedom’s online banking in the new year.

Beginning 10/29/2025, all credit card payments are made to Freedom Federal Credit Union.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have your payment sent electronically from a non-Freedom financial bill pay system or via ACH, be sure to update the card number and mailing address.

Freedom’s Card Manager App is an ideal way to pay for top convenience and security.

Simply download the app on android or ios!

After loading your card’s info to set up your first payment, you can also set when, where, and how your card can be used, track spending, set alerts, and dispute transactions, all from the app, and all in real-time. If you prefer to access the app via a web browser on your personal computer, you can also login online.

CODING ERROR

Due to a 3rd party coding glitch beyond our control, you may see a temporary due date of November 12, 2025, with $0.00 due in the Card Manager App or DX Online.

Please note:

  • Your payment is still due November 28, 2025 — check your October statement for the amount.
  • No November statement will be issued.
  • Your first Freedom statement will be available December 3, 2025, at that time your next due date will correct to December 28, 2025.

You can make your credit card payment using cash, check or debit card by visiting any branch location. Checks and cash are also accepted for credit card payments through available night drops.

Q: Why am I getting a new credit card?

As part of the merger process, AFFCU’s credit cards have been upgraded to Freedom FCU’s enhanced Visa® credit card suite. This transition ensures that all products and systems are aligned under Freedom FCU, which also provides members with improved benefits.

Q: When can I start using my new card?

You can activate and begin using your new card the morning of October 29, 2025.

Q: What should I do with my old card?

Destroy it once your new card is activated.

Q: Will I get a new PIN?

Yes. You will need to set a new PIN via the activation phone number.

Q: How do I select a PIN after the card has been activated?

If you did not select a PIN when activating your new Freedom credit card, call 1-888-886-0083 to select or change your PIN.

Q: Will my credit limit or interest rate change?

No, your credit limit and interest rate will remain the same.

Q: Will my payment due date change?

Your payment due date will remain the same.

Q: Will my payment mailing address change?

The mailing address will change. Please see your statement or view the ‘Pay By Mail’ tab above.

Q: Will my previous card history transfer?

Your previous card history will not transfer to your new credit card.

Your new card comes with:

Q: Will my new card have enhanced security?

Yes. Your new Freedom credit card features an EMV chip and contactless payment features.

Q: Will my card alerts transfer?

No. You’ll need to re-establish alerts for your new card through the card management app.

Q: Can I add or remove authorized users after the conversion?

Yes. Contact the credit union to make changes to your account.

Q: Will joint owners/authorized users receive new cards?

Yes. Joint owners/authorized users should have received their new cards with the same card number in October.

Q: Why did I and the joint-owner/authorized user receive a Freedom credit card with the same card number?

At Freedom, all cardholders and authorized users receive a credit card with the same number.

Q: What should I do about automatic payments?

After activating your new card, be sure to update your payment info with merchants (e.g., utilities, subscriptions) using your new card number and expiration date to avoid service interruptions.

Q: Will my new card work with Apple Pay and Google Pay?

Yes. Once your new card is activated, you can add it to your preferred mobile wallet.

Q: How do I access my credit card digitally?

Download Freedom’s Card Manager App to seamlessly manage your card- set up payments, track spending, set alerts, and dispute transactions, all from the app, and all in real-time.

Q: If I don’t have a smartphone, how can I access information on my Freedom credit card.

Q: What should I do if I notice unauthorized charges?

If you think your card information was compromised, you can immediately place a freeze on your card by using Freedom’s Card Manager App and/or call us at 1-800-440-4120.

Q: Will disputes from my old card carry over?

Yes. Any open disputes will continue to be processed under the original terms.

Q: How will my AFFCU credit card report to the credit bureau?

After your AFFCU credit card deactivates, the account will be reported as Sold/Transferred. This means it will not impact your credit score.

Q: How will my new Freedom credit card report to the credit bureau?

Your new Freedom credit card will show up as a new account, beginning in October.

Q: Will my account number change?

Your card number will change, but your overall account with the Credit Union remains the same.

Q.  Will the open date of my AFFCU credit card carry over to my Freedom credit card?

Yes, the open date of your AFFCU credit card will carry over to your Freedom credit card.

Q: What if I don’t receive my new card?

Contact us using one of the above methods to request a replacement.

Q: Did the rewards points from my AFFCU credit card carry over to my new Freedom credit card?

No, reward points are not transferable and will expire November 30, 2025.

Q: What is the deadline to redeem my reward points on my AFFCU credit card?

Reward points on the AFFCU card must be redeemed by the end of November.

Q: What are the options for redeeming reward points on my AFFCU credit card?

Members may redeem points as a deposit into their AFFCU savings or checking account.

1 CURewards® points are earned on qualifying purchases and may be redeemed for 1% cash back, merchandise, travel, and gift cards through curewards.com. Cash advances and balance transfers do not earn points and do not count toward bonus thresholds. Rewards eligibility is determined by merchant category codes as classified by the card processor. No adjustments will be made if a merchant’s category code does not qualify. Your bonus point offer will automatically be applied to your new card’s account.

2 Additional fees may apply, including a cash advance fee of $10.00 or 2.00% of the amount advanced, whichever is greater, and a foreign transaction fee of 1.00% of each transaction in U.S. dollars. Visa Signature is exempt from foreign transaction fees.

3 The same APR applies to balance transfers and cash advances. Total value of balance transfers cannot exceed your credit limit. Any existing balances on a Freedom Federal Credit Union loan or credit card account are not eligible for the Introductory APR for balance transfers.
