What is a high-interest checking account?

Freedom’s high-interest Empower Checking is a free checking account that allows you to earn 3.00% APY on balances up to $10,000 with no maintenance or monthly fees. To qualify, opt-in to receiving Electronic Statements (e-Statements) and complete a minimum of 15 qualifying Point-of-Sale (POS) purchase transactions per month using your Freedom Federal Credit Union debit card.
