If you think your card information was compromised, you can: 

  1. Immediately place a freeze on your card by using Freedom’s Card Manager App
  2. Call us at 1-800-440-4120  OR
  3. Visit any branch location

To dispute a credit card transaction or to submit a fraud claim, choose from one of the following options: 

  1.  Login to Online Banking
    • Click on Credit Card Details
    • Find the transaction you are disputing, select “Report an Issue”

2. Login to Freedom’s Card Manager App,

    • Click “Dispute” next to the transaction you are disputing

Members are automatically enrolled in Fraud Alerts for debit and credit cards. Members will receive the option to opt-out with their first fraud notification.

If there is not a mobile number listed, members will receive an email or phone call.

Managing My Account

You can view your credit card details online with just a few clicks!
• Select your VISA Credit Card tile in the Dashboard or in the Accounts list
• Click the link labelled “Credit Card Details” to launch the credit card site.
• If you have not previously registered your card, check the box to agree to the terms and conditions, then follow the remaining prompts to complete verification.
NOTE: You must enter the personal information of the primary cardholder on file.
• Once you have successfully registered your card, the credit card page will open any time you click the “Credit Card Details” link in Online or Mobile Banking.
• The full credit card site will load where you can view transactions, statements, make payments, file credit card disputes and more!
Please note that you may also access you full credit card details by downloading our Freedom Card Manager App on your mobile device. Set up a username and password for the app and you will be able to manage all of your Freedom credit and debit cards on the go!

You can request a credit limit increase by submitting an online credit application.

To add an authorized user:

Provide a written request including the authorized signer’s full name, phone number, and date of birth. A photocopy of the signer’s ID is also required.

 

Your credit card statements are accessed in a separate portal than your membership account statements. To manage your Visa credit card statement delivery, log into Online Banking and click on your Visa Credit Card. From there, click on Credit Card Details and register for the portal if you have not already. Once in the Credit Card portal, from the Credit Card Details page, you can click on “STATEMENTS” and then choose to enroll or unenroll in paperless credit card statements. NOTE: This is also where you will find your Visa credit card statements once enrolled.

Alerts and controls can be set up using:

  • Click on Notification Settings
  • Select Controls or Alerts

Balance Transfers & Cash Advances

To submit a Visa Balance Transfer Request:

  1. Complete the Credit Card Balance Transfer Request Form, located on Freedom’s website.
  2. You will receive an email with a completed copy of the form.
  3. The transfer may take up to 14 days (about 2 weeks) to post on the account being paid off. Please continue making your minimum monthly payment until you see the transfer has taken place.

*To complete the request, you’ll need to have a 20-day payoff and all card and payment address information.

To complete a Balance Transfer, you will need:

  • The name and address of the other financial institution 
  • Your account number at that financial institution 
  • The amount you would like to transfer. 

Ready? Complete a Balance Transfer Request Form.

  1. Freedom cardholders can expect a balance transfer to take between 10-14 business days.
  2. It is important to continue making at least the minimum payment if you have a payment due before your balance transfer goes through, so you avoid any late fees.

   You can complete a cash advance: 

  1. At a Freedom ATM using your assigned PIN, OR
  2. Visit any branch location. 

Travel

Yes, there is a 1% fee on the transaction amount when using our Visa products internationally plus any additional fees the ATM servicer may charge. For additional information, refer to Freedom’s Service Charge Listing. 

Easily add travel notifications to your debit and credit cards using

Debit Cards

Daily limits for Freedom debit cards are:

  • $500 ATM withdrawal
  • $1000 PIN based transaction
  • $3000 signature based transaction or a 10 transaction limit – whichever is lower.

You can change your debit card PIN by:

  1. Call 1-866-985-2273
  2. Visit any branch location.

*You can change your credit card PIN by calling 1-888-886-0083.

If you need to obtain a replacement debit or credit card:

  1. Call us at 1-800-440-4120, OR
  2. Visit any branch location.

*A replacement fee may apply.

You can locate a fee-free ATM by:

  1. Visiting any of our branch locations, all of which include an ATM that is free to members, OR
  2. Use our “Find an ATM Near You” feature to locate other in-network, fee-free ATMs.

Card Manager App

Freedom’s Card Manager App is a free mobile app that gives you advanced control, convenience, and security over your Freedom debit and credit cards.

The Freedom Card Manager App is available to download for free, from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

 

Yes, you can make credit card payments from your preferred checking or savings account using the Make a Paymentoption. 

When you report your debit or credit card lost or stolen:

  • A new card will be issued automatically.
  • You can expect to receive your card in 7-10 business days.

Credit Cards Only: If you had your current credit card registered within the Card Manager app prior to reporting it lost or stolen:

  • A new credit card will be digitally issued within the app immediately.
  • Once it has been digitally issued you can push it to your Digital Wallet.

Once you enroll your Freedom credit or debit card(s) into the app, you will see all your transactions, including pending ones.  

Rewards

You can redeem your credit reward points by logging into online banking.

From online banking:

  1. Click on Credit Card Details
  2. Click on Rewards
  3. Follow the prompts

Reward Points can be redeemed for cash back to your Freedom checking or savings account, a Visa statement credit, premium merchandise, travel discounts, and gift cards. 

The minimum amount to redeem for Cash Back is $25. 

Payments

  1. Login to Online Banking, THEN CLICK
    • Credit Card Details
    • Make a Payment
    • Automatic Payment – Enroll

2. Complete the Cardholder Agreement for Pre-Authorized Credit Card Payment form, located on the website.

    • You will receive a completed form once the automatic payment has been set up.
    • Please continue to make your minimum monthly payment.
