Share and IRA Certificates - These certificates can be opened for as little as $300 and have a range of terms from 6 to 60 months. Freedom's Jumbo share certificates, with terms from 13 weeks to 52 weeks, may be opened for a $50,000 minimum deposit; and, Super Jumbo share certificates may be opened for a $100,000 minimum balance with terms of 13 to 52 weeks..  Youth certificates, for members under 18, are available for a low $100 minimum deposot.

All share certificate accounts are insured by the NCUA for up to at least $100,000 and IRA certificates are insured up to $250,000.  These types of account do carry a penalty for early withdrawal and the IRS may impose penalties under certain conditions.
