Community Involvement
Lower Susquehanna Heritage Greenway As a community Credit Union, Freedom strives to give back to the community in many ways. We are proud to have recently contributed funds to the Greeway's first edition 2008 calendar. The LSHG has been instrumental in securing grants resulting in eco/tourism projects along both sides of the Susquehanna River including walking/hiking/biking/horseback and water trails.
"Making the Right Money Moves" Freedom currently co-sponsors these booklets and teacher guides for several Harford and Cecil County middle schools, high schools, and youth activity groups. Organizations utilizing these materials include: Aberdeen High School Bel Air High School Bohemia Manior High School Boys and Girls Clubs of Harford County Cecil County Board of Education C. Milton Wright High School Edgewood High School Havre de Grace High School John Carroll High School Joppatowne High School North Harford High School North Harford Middle School Perryville High School St. Margaret Middle School Additionally, Freedom enjoys a great relationship with many groups in the Harford County community. On many occasions, we take part in events as a sponsor and sometimes as participants. We'll be updating this page as further details are known and future events are scheduled - so check back often.
